Megan, I like the plan overall. It is a worthy endevor. Maybe make your goal a little more specific. Remember the purpose and significance parts. In the plan where you talk about monitoring student progress, how are you going to specifically achieve that?
ReplyDeleteMegan, I think you have a good question and starting point for this project. I think that maybe finding additional information from District administrators on current intervention plans may help you in your research and open other avenues of research.
ReplyDeleteMegan, great start. I like how specific and detailed you were. We are doing something similar on our campus to create better prepared writers. We have found that one of our weaknesses is that we do not have a system or curriculum in place to establish basic writing skills for student and by the time they get to fourth grade there is too much for one teacher to teach. I am curious to see if your systematic way involves curriculum or another way to solve this problem. Great inquiry!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very well developed and thought out project. It seems massive, though. Is there a way to narrow down your focus? One suggestion I have is perhaps make your goal a little more focused or tying it to a certain increase in test scores.
ReplyDeleteYour overall plan is great. I know that others have already indicated a need for more specifics but your plan will gain those as you get into the research of writing. This is quite an endeavor. My only suggestion is to see if you can get a team at your school together to work on this project. Collaboration will be key otherwise you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of work. If you have a department chair or other teacher leaders on campus, it might be helpful to start getting a group together and see about dividing some of these tasks. Good luck!
